Following on from the success of our recent Give and Take days in Corsham and Box we are pleased to announce an expanded event at Corsham’s Springfield Community Campus on Saturday 26th September, from 10.30-12.30. As well as the ever-popular free community swap shop there will be a variety of stalls for people to browse and find out more information on a range of environmental and sustainability topics. Plus we’ll be serving refreshments – all Fairtrade, naturally! More details to follow…
Orchard Meeting and Updated Actions and Achievements from 12th May Sally, Paul and I met today and walked round the orchard. Dear Transcoco supporters, The film ‘Bicycle’ is being shown at the Pound Tuesday 10th March at 7.30pm and the Pound are doing a special 2 for 1 deal. Members of the Transcoco’s Transport Group will be there from about 6.45 to canvas opinion on 20mph speed limits and any other ideas that would support a more sustainable transport future in Corsham. Minutes of First Transport Group Meeting 6th March – Pound We discussed promoting 20mph Speed zones and shared space in Corsham. We identified that getting people’s opinion was important as part of generating support. 20mph may not be supported by the police because of enforcement issues. We will need to produce a map of the proposed routes that would be the subject of the restriction to allow people to understand the proposal and and make suggestions.
