Transition Community Corsham

Transcoco aims to develop local solutions to local sustainability issues, helping to address the global challenges of climate change, depleting fossil fuel resources and other environmental challenges. By finding sustainable local solutions, we will help make the Area a more positive and rewarding place to live, work and visit, and contribute to creating a more sustainable future for everyone. We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month, except August and December, at 7.30pm at Pound Arts, Corsham SN13 9HX. Everyone is welcome at these open meetings where we discuss new ideas and initiatives and progress on all our existing projects.

Fairtrade Corsham planted the Transcoco/ Fairtrade raised bed at Corsham Community Campus Garden today with a tea bush ( Camelia Sinensis) and some herbs. We have intersperced with the primulas we planted earlier. The tea bush is in a lovely Fairtrade pot made from recycled tyres. We used money from our Fairtrade Cafes and the raffle from our last Fairtrade event. The raffle hamper was kindly donated by The Coop in Corsham. Thanks to the Fairtrade Steering group who turned out on a very windy day. Please take time to go to look at our box, just by the door to the Campus Cafe. The daffodills and tulips we planted under the silver birch are looking very beautiful too. ... See MoreSee Less
